In 1980, Colonel Valeri Angurov, the uncle of our founder, lost his life during a mission in Angola — a conflict driven, in part, by the world’s desire for diamonds.
His death revealed a painful truth: true beauty should never come at the cost of human life.
Years later, his nephew, Yuri Anguroff, transformed this tragedy into a vision — to create a world where brilliance is born through peace, not conflict.

A Question of Passion
From the age of 12, Yuri Anguroff immersed himself in jewelry workshops, learning the intricacies of design, stone cutting, and craftsmanship from master artisans. By his teenage years, he had already spent time in the ateliers of Antwerp, Belgium, the world’s diamond capital, working alongside master gem cutters and designers. These formative experiences shaped his understanding that true luxury is built on skill, precision, and respect for the wearer, not just on price or marketing.
Over the years, Yuri honed his craft in high-end jewelry studios across Europe and the Middle East, gaining first-hand experience in the design, production, and presentation of luxury pieces. He developed a keen eye for quality, a deep understanding of diamond grading, stone selection, and finishing, and a passion for ethical luxury — ensuring that every creation respects both the wearer and the world it comes from.
In 2025, at just 20 years old, Yuri founded ANGUROFF, a luxury jewelry maison dedicated to creating pieces of unmatched brilliance, ethical integrity, and timeless design. These rare crystals were made not of diamond... but something even more extraordinary: silicon carbide — later named moissanite, after Nobel Prize-winning scientist Henri Moissan, who first uncovered them in 1893.
What he had discovered was a gemstone not formed in the Earth's crust, but in the fires of a dying star.
